Search takes months
Ranking for anything worth ranking for is a year of work, and it pays nothing while you wait. Something has to bring people in before then.
About
ViberDen is a traffic exchange for people who ship. Members show each other's ads, earn credits for the visitors they send, and spend those credits on visitors to their own work. No ad budget, no auction, no minimum spend.
The problem
Getting the first thousand people to look at it is the part that stops projects. The usual answers all assume a budget that a side project, an indie tool or a first launch does not have.
Ranking for anything worth ranking for is a year of work, and it pays nothing while you wait. Something has to bring people in before then.
Minimum spends, bidding, and a learning phase you pay for. A launch with fifty euros behind it cannot buy its way through that.
Bought visits are bots wearing a browser. You pay, the counter moves, and nobody was ever there. That is the one thing worse than no visitors.
The idea
Every project with a page has something an advertiser wants: somebody looking at it. ViberDen turns that into the currency of the exchange, so attention is paid for with attention instead of with money.
A credit exists because a member showed an ad to a real visitor. There is no other way for one to be created. That single rule is what keeps the traffic in the exchange real, and it is why we can afford to check every click before it pays.
A click costs the advertiser one credit and pays the publisher one. The two sides are equal by design: this is a trade, not a market with a spread taken out of the middle by whoever runs it.
You can buy credits when you want reach faster than publishing earned it, and the money is what keeps the platform running. But nobody has to: an account, a zone and a little patience get you the same credits.
They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or cashed out, and buy impressions and clicks on this exchange and nothing else. We say so plainly rather than in a footnote. The terms set out exactly what that means.
How we run it
Earnings are checked before they can be spent, and credits from manufactured clicks are forfeited rather than released. An exchange that tolerates that has nothing left to trade.
Showing an ad sets nothing in a visitor's browser. Traffic is measured with a fingerprint whose key rotates daily, so the same person is countable today and unrecognisable tomorrow.
What a credit is, when it expires, what a refund returns, and what is in your browser are each written out on their own page in words you can read once.
Where it is
ViberDen is young and still being built, in the open. The changelog is the real list of what has landed so far, with nothing on it that has not shipped. If something is missing or wrong, telling us is the fastest way to see it change.
